What is GD-PI-WAT?
While CAT, XAT preparation is comprehensive and exhausting, it is clearly not the end. A very important step left between you and your dream B school is the GWPI process.
Most B schools will conduct at least one of the following processes for final selection (after you have cleared their cut offs in the exam):
1. Writing Ability Test
2. Group Exercise
3. Group Interview
4. Personal Interview
5. Group Discussion
Over the last few years, we have seen that frequency of Group Discussion as a process has been reducing among B Schools. A new emphasis is being seen on written and interpersonal skills and awareness about macro and micro environment around you. Knowledge about applications and impacts, rather than theoretical knowledge, is the new lookout.
This process is as important as your CAT preparation, if not more. You will need to give an early start to the process as this part of preparation requires knowledge of economics, environment, politics along with sharpening your personality space and also knowing your goals and dreams.
